Life with 2 little girls

We take hide'n seek seriously at our house.
Random Conversations from our house this week:
Monday: After a weekend home alone with daddy, H1 came in carrying her running shoes. (She never wears running shoes...they're not girly enough for her.) She wanted to wear them and said that Daddy told her they were cool and would make her faster than Benjamin. (I've told her that many times.) I asked her what she had worn with her running shoes with on Saturday, She said pants. (She never wears pants and always throws a huge fit.) I said "I thought you didn't like pants" , She said "Oh I guess your right, pants are more fun." Daddy evidently has more influence than I do.
Wednesday: While 20lbs heavier and 7 months pregnant, I was walking up a very steep hill, pushing a stroller carrying 60lbs worth of girls in it, into a brutal head wind. The windshield was down so the girls were protected and it made a nice wind catcher. (I was pretty proud of myself for being out and walking.) H1 said, "Mommy can you go faster?" They are used to running, and I was moving at a snails pace up this steep hill. I told her No for the reasons listed above. She said "Oh, well when you get to the top of the hill can you go faster?" I told her I would try, but it was doubtful. Then she told me that "Well, Daddy can go faster." I told her that was very true.
Friday: H2 was looking for the doll house mommy...I think the mommy was eaten by our dog, so I told her we'd need to get a new mommy. As I was talking to her about possibly buying a new mommy H1 walked in and was a little perplexed at why we needed to buy a new mommy. Very concerned she asked "Can't we just buy you?" Awwhhh! She thought we were going to buy a real mommy. It pierced my heart. As much as she and I go round and round with battles, she still wants me for her mommy. I gave her a big hug!
